As you can imagine summertime is without doubt our busiest time of the year and we see a sharp increase in demand, especially when the sun makes an appearance. We hope that you and your families are enjoying your summer holidays and making the most of them.
Events – Recently Soave’s took part in 2 events (the Royal Highland Show and the Muirhead & Chryston Gala Day) where we showcased our Ice cream, Sorbets, Frozen yogurt and Desserts of ice cream filled snowballs and sponges, that is unique only to Soave’s Ice Cream. The firm favourites over the four days were our award winning Fat Free Mango Frozen Yogurt and our Scottish Highland Toffee ice cream. Both events were very well attended, with over 190,000 people attending the Royal Highland Show alone over the 4 days.
These events are great for us as we get to speak to new and existing customers and see their reaction when they taste our products, some for the 1st time. We are glad to report that all the ice-creams that we entered for judging at the Royal Highland Show received awards which is another feather in our cap!
At both these events we received great feedback and they also generated a lot of interest in our product range from potential new customers. Taking part in these events can be a lot of hard work though, so well done to all the team at Soave’s on making these events the success that they were.
Cocktail Sorbets – At Soave’s we are never one to rest on our laurels when it comes to developing our product range. Quite often this may see us create new ice cream flavours, but every now and then we may develop an entirely new product, which is what we have done in creating our new Cocktail Sorbets. We are now delighted to introduce our range of Cocktail Sorbets, which we have brought out just in time for the summer. The sorbets are all alcohol free but of course there is nothing stopping the adults adding their favourite tipple to the sorbets! To start us off, we have created 3 exciting sorbets; Strawberry Daquiri, Mojito and Margarita. We are of course a little biased, but we think they are delicious and just the thing to enjoy with family or friends during the summer.
New Cold Room – As mentioned in Issue 1 of Soave’s Scoop we recently made large investments across a number of areas of the business. One of the areas we have invested in is in the installation of a new cold room which provides the dairy with even more storage capacity. This helps us greatly as it means we can produce larger batches of our ice-cream and store them ready for when our customers demand them.
Muirhead Café, Now Caffé C – As mentioned in the last Soave’s Scoop we recently sold the café in Muirhead to new owners. This café will now be called ‘Caffé C’ and it will stock a large new cabinet holding 28 flavours, including our ice creams, Sorbets and fat free frozen yogurt in Mango and Strawberry. The café has also had a facelift so if you are in the area why not pop in and say hello to the new owners.
